Kelly comes to BE Fit with an extensive background in athletics, coaching, strength training and manual bodywork. She is entering her 23rd year as Head Diving Coach at Wayne State University, where she also oversees the athletes’ cardio and strength conditioning program. All movements of the body have always fascinated Kelly and that fascination has led her to become certified or trained in many healing and movement modalities including: Licensed Massage Therapy (Owner of Body Dynamics in Allen Park), IMAP Spinal Corrections and Integrative Strength Conditioning, TRX Suspension and Stott’s Pilates, to name a few. All of these modalities help with decreasing muscle dysfunctions and connective tissue adhesions, to increasing Range of Motions for a more active life. Pilates was untried by Kelly until two years ago when she joined Body Energy Fitness in an attempt to help heal her back from a herniation injury. She quickly felt the improvement in core strength and the much needed pain relief in her back. After feeling the results and realizing the value of Pilates, she decided to become a Stott’s Pilates Trainer to help pass along the knowledge and benefits to both her athletes and bodywork clients.
